Global Solidarity

KCWU is connected to international labour movements fighting for workers' rights worldwide.

"Joining KCWU was the best decision I made as a worker. When I faced an unfair dismissal, the union stood with me through the entire court process and we won. I would not have known my rights without them."

Any unionisable employee working in the chemical and allied industries in Kenya can join KCWU. This includes workers in manufacturing, cleaning, processing, and related sectors.
How much are the membership dues?
Membership subscription fees are prescribed by the union and automatically deducted from your salary through a check-off agreement with your employer. Contact your nearest branch for the exact current amount.
What happens after I submit this form?
Your application will be sent directly to the KCWU secretariat. Our team will review it and contact you within 2–3 business days to guide you through the check-off agreement process with your employer.
Can I join if my employer is not yet a signatory?
Yes. You can still apply and KCWU will work with you to establish a recognition agreement with your employer. Many of our members joined before their employer formally recognised the union.
Is my personal information kept safe?
Absolutely. Your personal data is only used for membership processing and is never shared with your employer or third parties without your consent.
